The New F-PACE Celebrates Jaguar's Birthday with a Truly Spectacular Stunt

The 2017 Jaguar F-PACE kicked off both the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show and Jaguar's 80-year birthday with an unbelievable feat of automotive ingenuity and death-defying performance.

Yesterday, this luxury crossover shattered the Guinness World Record for driving the largest-ever loop-the-loop: a 360-degree structure standing at 62 1/2 feet tall. Watch for yourself--the video is only a minute long, so if you need to hold your breath, feel free.

This monumental event wasn't just to celebrate the brand's 80 years of innovative sport performance, nor was it simply an act to kick off this year's Frankfurt show with--literally--a bang. It was also to formally welcome the Jaguar brand's very first luxury crossover SUV into the mix.

This new crossover will offer two variants of a gas-powered turbocharged V6 engine, one offering 340 HP and the other 380; both borrow their mechanics from the stunning Jaguar F-TYPE. Later in 2016 for Richmond, Hanover, Mechanicsville, Petersburg, and Charlottesville, VA drivers, we can expect to see a 4-cylinder diesel engine, creating about 317 lb.-ft. of torque and boasting what we assume will be stellar fuel economy.

We'll be updating you further as we learn more about the 2017 Jaguar F-PACE, its specs, and when we can expect to see it join the new vehicle lineup at Brown's Richmond Jaguar. Want to know more now? Contact us online, and we'll pass along what we know!
